Rishi and Gurukul Culture

We at MITVGS strive for not only for educating the student in the best possible way but we ensure his life is “Enriched” with various other activities which have a deep sense of Indian culture.

Value Education

At MITVGS we follow the Satya Sai Education in Human Values (SSEHV) curriculum which is a universal, value based teaching program for children of all cultures and faiths. SSEHV addresses the societal needs by focusing on young people and instilling in them the basic human values viz., Truth, Love, Peace, Right Conduct and Non – Violence. We are adapting this curriculum primarily to enable young people to appreciate themselves and others, and encourage them to take greater responsibility for their actions and for the world around them. This program helps us to tackle issues such as bullying and anti-social behavior and provide a foundation for an enriching global citizenship

Yoga & Meditation

Yoga’s innate ability to cease the mental chatter and live in the moment reduces stress and anxiety, showing profound benefits in every sphere of life. Students are stressed individuals, keen to outperform themselves and prove their worth every chance they get. Yoga helps them to deal with their stress and bring back some peace of mind. Those who regularly practice yoga not only report lower levels of stress and anxiety and subsequently improved academic performance.

We at MITVGS understand the importance of Yoga in a student’s life. We had conducted A ten-day course on Siddha Samadhi Yoga (SSY) was organized on our in the MIT VGS campus, Pandharpur by Rishi Samskrithi Vidya Kendra (RSVK), Bangalore. The sessions were an enlightening experience for both the students and the teachers. A regular session of Yoga and meditationis a part of our daily routine which has helped everyone at the campus with enhanced performance and mental peace.

Organic Farming

India is a predominantly an agricultural country. After independence, India initiated a large agricultural expansion program to address an urgent and ever increasing food needs. To meet with this high demand, there has been a tremendous increase of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides and fungicides to increase the productivity of our soil. Consequently all these bioaccumulation of the chemicals have started causing serious health hazards to each and every individual in the country. In order to bring an awareness of the side effects of this kind of chemical farming.

We at MITVGS promote natural organic farming and inculcate dignity of labor amongst the students. It involves students from all the grades wherein they are involved from preparation of land to harvesting. The students imbib the qualities of team working, physical labour and patience.
