MIT VG School celebrated Raksha Bandhan festival with great fervour and enthusiasm on Sunday 26th August 2018 in the school auditorium. It was a day of celebration of love between brothers and sisters highlighting family values and one’s duties. Such bonding from the early years ensures that although individual paths may diverge as life goes one, the attachment between a brother and sister remains ever strong.
Dr. P. N. Prasad, Project Director and Mr. Ganesh Kumar, Project Manager MIT VG Schools were the special guests at this memorable event. Mrs. K Suneetha, Principal, MIT VG School, blessed the students on this occasion. Mr. More, Hostel Warden, expressed his views on this occasion. The school organized a special event to educate students about the significance of this festival. Students wore colourful traditional Indian dresses and were excited since morning. The girl students tied Rakhi to boys and shared sweets. Students were familiarized with the customs and rituals followed on Raksha Bandhan. Students showed keen interest in the event and their participation added to the joyful environment. The female teachers tied Rakhis to Dr. Prasad, Mr. Kumar and the male teachers. The program concluded with students tying rakhis to each other.
