‘National Mathematics Day’

A special assembly was conducted by the students of grade X in a very enthusiastic and organised way on 20th December, 2019 on the occasion of “National Mathematics Day”. As we know, ‘National Mathematics Day’ is celebrated on 22nd December every year to mark the birth anniversary of legendary Indian Mathematician, Srinivasa Ramanujan. Students paid tribute to this great mathematician by making a presentation depicting his life, struggles and achievements. The objective of the presentation was to create awareness amongst the students about the immense contribution made by this legendary Indian mathematician.
Krishna. C and Yatharth Shrivastava gave wonderful speech on ‘Why National Maths Day’ is celebrated and on  ‘Life History’ of Srinivasa Ramanujan. An interactive session of mind-boggling puzzles which were completely based on Bloom’s Taxonomy and Multiple Intelligence was asked to all the students and the teachers as well. The winners were appreciated and rewarded with chocolates and big applause. 
A group of Students performed a song followed by enthralling guitar performance by Yatharth Shrivastava. 
Ms. Gayatri C also gave short information about Christmas. The Assembly was hosted and managed in sequence very smartly by Ms. Malvika Bhadodiya. Principal Dr. Sandeep Khanna addressed the students and shared more information about importance of ‘National Mathematics Day’.

The assembly was concluded by singing the National Anthem by the school choir.
