It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you all to MIT VGS.
The institution has a long tradition and is one of the premier educational institutions in Pune. Given the changing face of the city and to keep pace with the same, the institution has ventured into the CBSE pattern of schooling from the academic year 2017-18. This is the third year under this pattern, with more than 500 students.
As you all are aware, CBSE is a nation-wide curriculum, which exposes the children to various practices followed at the national level. Their performance and achievements get acknowledged at the pan India level.
We, at MIT, prepare our students for the growing challenges, not only in the academic field; but also in day-to-day life and society. This is done with the help of curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, training in soft skills, educational tours, projects and hands-on activities.
The school has well-trained, well-qualified and experienced staff, and as the name suggests, we believe in the Gurukul system where there is healthy interaction between teachers and students, like a family. All the required academic activities are carried out in the classroom itself, so that the children are not burdened with studies beyond the school hours.
We also stress on learning through experience. Tours are arranged to places of educational importance. The interest and aptitude of a child is identified in the school itself and relevant exposure pertaining to every field is provided. This creates a foundation for them to pursue a career of their choice in future. Training to speak foreign languages, writing movie reviews and training in performing arts (dance and drama) is also an integral feature of the school, for all-round development of the students.
