As a part of science club activities, the club members along with the support of Principal, K.Suneetha organized a visit to  ‘Shree Sai RopVatika’ located in Mahud in Pandharpur taluka. The aim behind this visit was to acquaint the students of grade VI and VII with the techniques and principles of plantation and care and skills required to grow a plant nursery. The visit consisted of 49 students and 5 school teachers and began at 9:30 am form the school campus.

During the visit the students came across different varieties of flowering plants like roses, tulip,  hibiscus etc, vegetables like brinjal, tomato, chilli, cauliflower etc, medicinal plants like sarpgandha, ashwagandha, hirda, adulsa, bhadra, gunj, etc and various ornamental plants like golden duranda, oak, pine, cactus etc. The owner Mr. Lautekar gave students the information about grafting techniques and also provided the students with direct experience of planting the seeds in the cultivation trays. The students enjoyed the visit and interviewed the owner and the other members to seek the information about plant nursery. The students happily returned in the campus at 1:00pm along with a bundle of information about the nursery making.
