Swatantrata Divas, India’s Independence Day, is celebrated annually on the 15th of August every year across the nation. This day commemorates the independence and the end of the colonial rule of the British, achieved in 1947. The British had ruled India since the 18th century. This foreign rule ended in 1947.
The moment will not only be celebrated in governmental offices but also in schools and colleges as well. It is celebrated throughout the country with the ceremonial raising of the national flag and the distribution of sweets. The National Day is followed since 1947. This time it is 73rd year of celebration.
Students of MIT Vishwashanti Gurukul School CBSE Loni Pre-primary section celebrated Independence Day on Tuesday, 13th August 2019. The morning began with a Special Assembly on Independence Day by Sr.KG- B. Students were dressed like different states People and wished ‘’Happy Independence Day’’ in different Indian languages to everyone. Also, they sang the song ‘Sare Jahan se Achcha’.
The teachers explained to the students the reason to celebrate Independence Day and also a short video was shown to make the students understand the importance of this day.
The children’s enthusiasm and energy reinforced the belief that even though our nation is very diverse with many religions, languages, and cultures, everyone comes together as a nation and experiences a common feeling of patriotism on Independence Day.
