Ganeshostav is one of the significant festivals celebrated with much joy and enthusiasm across India. Students of MIT VGS (CBSE), Loni, celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi with great pomp and gaiety on 14th September 2018. The day began with Ganesh Aarti. Students were offered Prasad after the Aarti. A special assembly was conducted for the students of grade VIII. Students recited Shlokas in Sanskrit. Lord Ganpati is known as the deity of learning, and useful examination tips were given to the students present in the assembly, since their half-yearly examination was about to commence from 17th September 2018.
Dr. Sandeep Khanna, Principal, addressed the gathering and explained the importance of preserving and practicing the Indian culture, traditions, and festive celebrations. He also talked about the Hindi Diwas celebration and urged everyone to know about India’s most widely used official language, as it plays an important role in linking the people together. He conveyed his best wishes to the students for their half-yearly examination. The assembly concluded with the singing of the National Anthem by the school band.
