MIT Vishwashanti Gurukul School won the Education World Promising Preschool Award under the category Nature Friendly Preschool in the 9th Early Childhood Education National Conference 2019 held in Bengaluru on 19th January 2019.
The programme started with the lamp lighting ceremony followed by the introduction of guest speakers. Expert lecture series featuring the country’s best ECCE teachers were held during the conference to develop the importance and awareness of early childhood education in our life. Dr. Shuchi Grover conducted live broadcast from USA on the topic Computational Thinking where she emphasised on infusing this aspect in early childhood education to create the necessary spark in the mind. Jehan Manekshaw spoke about the importance of drama in pre-primary schools to ignite the senses using this aesthetic tool. The eminent guests discussed and shared their views on ‘Progress and differentiated instruction in early childhood’ and ‘Developing literacy in early childhood’.
Pre-primary education plays a vital role to provide a strong base for lifelong learning and learning abilities, including cognitive and social development. Pre-primary education is just not about preparing the student for primary school; but it is about the child’s overall development. A child’s early years are the foundation of his or her future.
