The most awaited event of the year – Junior Robocon 2019 - was finally unveiled on 11th January 2019 at a grand inauguration function. The science carnival began in the most enthusiastic manner in the presence of many prominent dignitaries.
The unique World Peace Prayer of MIT was followed by the welcoming of the dignitaries and lighting of the ceremonial lamp, which was a perfect start to the event. The invocational dance by some of the students just brought the divine closer to everyone present there.
The technical team of MIT Academy of Engineering presented the perfect introduction to the theme for Robocon 2019 with a robotic Pooja.
En route to the event, the dignitaries first visited the robotic arena, where Prof. Swati Karad-Chate, Executive Director, declared the Junior Robocon 2019 matches open. She formally inaugurated the opening matches by cutting the ribbon and remained present during the course of those matches.
History was created at VGS, Pandharpur on that day, when Ms. Prabha, Professor, MIT Engineering College, Alandi, and her technical team led the competition, while students from various schools exhibited their scientific temper, presence of mind, analytical skills and fine motor skills in controlling their robotic devices with remotes. Every second of the event was exciting, as the points scored by the participants kept spooling on the board and every successful manoeuvre or blooper could have resulted in the difference between winning and losing. The excellent discretion and judgement from the referees resulted in impartial and innocuous verdicts that honoured the skills of the deserving winners.
